"Ovens Long-Silenced" :: Mine Hill Preserve, Roxbury, Conneticut, USA :: Once used to roast iron ore prior to feeding it into a blast furnace in Connecticut's Northwest Hills, this roasting oven hasn't seen use since furnace site was shut down in the 1870s.
